The genre as we know it was born largely from multiplayer mods in open-world survival games. The battle royale format didn’t just appear overnight in PUBG and Fortnite. To many of the developers who have already launched battle royale games, the last games standing will be the ones that look beyond taking part in the genre’s popularity and push the envelope for the entire video game industry. These are some of the tentpole features of ScreenFlow 10, all of which will greatly improve your capturing and editing abilities, and solidify this app’s position as a premiere tool. As long as you know you won’t need any footage that’s outside of the portions used, this is a great way to save a project, and your hard drive space. Even better, unused sections of longer clips will be excised so that only what is in the timeline is preserved. When you choose to Archive a project, ScreenFlow will automatically see which clips have not been used and will remove them from the file. This potential headache is now a thing of the past with the new archiving feature. The new destructive archival tool can save you a heck of a lot of disk space (Image credit: telestream) This would not only be time consuming, but also easy to get wrong, especially if your project was a complex one. Until now, you might have to manually delete any unused clip which would unnecessarily bloat your file size and needlessly take up storage space. When you’re done with a project, chances are you might wish to save the construct should you need to revisit it at a later date, and perhaps draw footage from it for a new video. You can also edit the nested clips individually should you need to, giving you a welcome and much needed enhanced flexibility when working on a complex project. This makes it easier to more them around, or even apply the same effects to the lot. Basically, it allows you to put multiple clips into one. ![]() Nesting isn’t a new concept and has been available on numerous other video editors for a good long while, but it’s good to see its inclusion in ScreenFlow. Nesting finally arrives on ScreenFlow, allowing you to simplify a complex edit (Image credit: telestream) Until now, if you were to record your computer’s audio, and somehow, an email notification which you’d forgot to mute chimed, overlapping the audio you were trying to capture, you’d either be stuck with it, or have to redo your capture. One very interesting development centres around audio capture. ![]() Sadly you have no way of refining this, so your mileage may vary - although the simplest backgrounds unsurprisingly lead to the best results. If you don’t have a green screen, you can use this to cut out or blur out anything that’s behind you. One new built-in filter we liked is the Automatic Background Removal. We particularly liked the option of importing your own Cube Look Up Tables to use your own custom effects - if you have them. You choice of effects has been parred down, with each being represented by a large thumbnail preview of the actual selected clip - which means you can see immediately how an effect will affect the look of your footage. Text-based also meant no previews, leading to a poorly used feature. Sure, you had a search field, but if you weren’t sure what an effect was called, it wasn’t much use. Prior to Version 10, the available effects were presented in a long text-based list. The reworked filters and effects panel makes it much easier to see how they will affect a selected clip (Image credit: telestream)Īnother improvement can be found in the Effects section. ![]() ![]() ![]() When I truly want to “air fry,” my air fryer will still be my “go-to” appliance.īut for the first run, the Ninja Foodi didn’t let me down. I felt like the results of my Ninja Foodi Roast Chicken were pretty similar to my Air Fryer Roast Chicken. It was golden brown and crispy on the outside, but how did the inside look? The origins of Touche Ross, the other partner in the Deloitte Touche marriage, can also be traced back to England. The company also moved increasingly toward management consulting. The service was set up nationwide and administered through regional consulting offices in over 15 offices with a staff of over 250 people. Using leased software, Deloitte administered 20 investment funds, offered myriad services for participants, and provided consultants in such areas as legal issues, plan design issues, employee communications, and compliance issues. Thus, as Archibald Richards pointed out in his historical account of the company, the evolution of accounting as a profession can only be understood in the context of the developing business community. Changes in tax legislation, such as the introduction of an income tax in the United States in 1913, were critical for the growth of accounting as a profession. A number of leading firms were established at this time, including Deloitte in 1845 and Price Waterhouse. ![]() The system devised by Deloitte solved this problem and was instrumental in the passage in 1844 of the Joint Stock Banking Act in England, which required firms to provide balance sheets and income statements. For example, some imagined that as the cost of replacement of locomotives rose, then the value of a firm's assets rose by the same amount, ignoring depreciation. In those days, as companies grew, due to their size and complexity, new problems were presented over how to depreciate fixed capital. Deloitte, Haskins and Sells traces its history back to the mid-1800s in England, when William Welch Deloitte devised the double entry accounting system to help the Great Western Railway to deal with its large capital stock. When I played the original game I had a lot of fun, but managed to fall off after about 15 hours as the progression started to wear thin. It is a familiar genre that has decent mechanics and some genuinely good writing and characters. It features both melee and ranged combat, plenty of NPCs to interact with, and a world to explore and do quests. The Outer Worlds is an action RPG in the same vein as Fallout. There is an upgrade path if you own the original game and both DLC packs, which is nice, but the fact that saves do not carry over and the original app for the game is basically left in the cold feels a bit like a slap in the face. The bad side to this is that owners of the original game are left feeling a bit cold in the process. Avowed is expected to be the next big title from Obsidian after Pentiment. Not all remasters are created equal. Later last month, Obisidian Entertainment launched the full version of Grounded, and they are now expected to release their new title Pentiment later this year, which is a 2D story-driven adventure from Josh Sawyer, the director behind Fallout: New Vegas. It's yet to be seen whether the new edition will be directly launched on Xbox Game Pass, but the technical improvement is expected to be available for free for those who already own the game, as it was the case with previous enhancements among the Xbox Game Studios titles. The Outer Worlds is currently available for free for both PC and Xbox subscribers of the Game Pass service. After the disastrous failure of Fallout 76, The Outer Worlds received high attention from the media and the gaming communities at the time of launch as a replacement for Fallout. The original iteration received enough success that Microsoft has greenlit a sequel to the game.
